Josh One is an American producer and DJ. ==History== Josh One is a DJ and producer from Los Angeles. He rose to prominence in the early 1990s and 2000s, sharing stages with the likes of: Mos Def, Wu-Tang Clan, A Tribe Called Quest, Sean Paul, The Roots, Kelis, J Dilla, The Black Eyed Peas, Cypress Hill, Gangstarr, Anthony Hamilton and many more. Josh One's debut recording as a solo artist was “Contemplation” in 2001. "Contemplation's" most popular remix was the King Britt "Funke Mix." It rose to the top of the European dance charts and going straight to #1 on the German dance charts. Soon to follow was the "Josh One Remix" the three time Grammy nominated, platinum song Nappy Roots “Po Folks” on Atlantic Records. He then went on to remix the #1 Billboard hit Fitz & The Tantrums "Out Of My League" (2013) on Atlantic Records & The Who classic, "Won't Get Fooled Again (2013.)" His debut full-length album “Narrow Path” was released in 2004. Narrow Path featured the vocal talents of Aloe Blacc & Myka 9 as well as prolific the downtempo instrumentals, "Narrow Path" & "Grey Skies." Having multiple media placements in TV & Film his song “Grey Skies” was used for the premiere episode of ''CSI New York'' and an Acura TL commercial. Josh One's catalog has been featured in many other media placements such as: ''CSI New York'', ''CSI Miami'', ''CSI Vegas'', VH1, MTV, ESPN and HBO. Josh One’s song “Miss Me” feat. Dena Deadly (2006) from the LP “Narrow Path” was nominated for a Grammy in the Urban/Alternative category. His second album “Tolerance” (2009) featured an array of brilliant artists and world class musicians. "Tolerance" also had done well in the media with the 3 of the 12 tracks featured on ''CSI'' on CBS. His recent release on his label (Boomnote Music ), "Universal" with Eighty has recently been featured on the Microsoft "(A New Generation Of PCs )" commercial (2013). In 2005, Josh One created Boomnote Music, his record label/production company.
